We are very excited to start our pilot program Leadership Academy: Texas this coming semester. Please stay tuned for more information.
Leadership Academy will be teaching ethical decision-making to 7th and 8th graders on a weekly basis in 15 selected school campuses across the state. The classes will include a school counselor and SRO or community-based officer, who will be able to build relationships with the students and be a positive role model for the kids.
Date and Times:
When: June 18th, 8 AM – 5 PM. Where: TMPA offices 6200 La Calma Dr. Ste 200, Austin, TX 78752
When: July 23rd, 8 AM – 5 PM. Where: ESC Region 20 offices 1314 Hines, San Antonio, TX 78208
Facilitator Training Campus Criteria:
Middle School Campuses
School Resource Officer (or Community-Based Officer) and School Counselor must attend together.
Registration is FREE!

Attendees are responsible for making their own travel arrangements including hotel accommodations.

We are currently looking for school campuses who are interested in participating in this exciting program along with their counselors and SROs (or community-based officers). We are offering 8-hours TCOLE credit for officers.
