For the past 4 years, the Carrollton Police Officers Association (CPOA) has been celebrating the Fourth of July at Addison’s renowned Kaboom Town Celebration. We get together with our families to bar-b-que, fellowship and celebrate the freedoms we uphold to protect each day. Some 300 plus officers from numerous surrounding agencies, many of whom are TMPA members, work traffic control around the event, so I contacted TMPA with the idea of serving hamburgers to those working the event. TMPA graciously responded and sent John Siegera and Clint McNear with the truck, grill and 450 hamburgers.
Through the smoke, grease and fire TMPA once again serving Law Enforcement, fed the 300 plus officers working the event in an hour and a half. In addition, they provided CPOA members and our families with 150 hamburgers. We heard many positive responses from our members and those working the event about how appreciative they were for the hamburgers TMPA provided.
Please express our sincere appreciation to John and Clint who took time away from their families to serve both members and non-members working the event. As a 19 year member of TMPA, I realize it’s the caring unselfish people within the organization that make it so great. Thank you again, to all the staff of TMPA for the efforts you put forth daily in serving Law Enforcement across the Great State of Texas.
