TMPA is excited to announce that part-time field representative, J.P. Rodriguez, has accepted the position of full-time field representative for the South Texas area effective November 13th. TMPA field representatives travel the state recruiting new members and providing local support to existing members.
In addition to serving TMPA members as a part-time field representative for the Rio Grande Valley area, he is also a Deputy with the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office and has worked for the Weslaco Police Department and with the Hidalgo County DA HIDTA Task Force. J.P. will join the Field Services Division as a full-time field representative for the South Texas area beginning November 13th. J.P. became a TMPA field rep because he wanted the opportunity to work for a professional law enforcement association that is dedicated to the protection of men and women who serve their community.
J.P. holds an Advanced Peace Officer Certification, TCPA Crime Prevention Certification, TTPOA SWAT Certification, Cooper Institute LE Fitness Specialist Certification and a Texas Crime Stoppers-Coordinator Certification. Outside of work, J.P. enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters as well as working with his church youth group on community projects.
