My name is Shaun Hopkins and I have been a member of TMPA for several years. I have been a cop for 20 years. In 2007 I was laid off by the Pilot Point Police Dept. I was the only female officer and was the senior patrol officer. I contacted TMPA and was referred to Tisha Dodge who agreed to take my case. Fast forward to Oct. 2009 we finally settled with my former employer. While they admitted no guilt their money was put in my pocket, the city administrator and chief who were responsible for the decision "retired" and "resigned" for a "better job" two months before mediation and the city has fundamentally changed the way they do business.
