Chris:
I wanted to send you this message to say thanks for the support.  Without TMPA legal and the represenation from Lance Wyatt, I could not say that I have won (again) against the City of Plano. Making the choice to arbitrate is never easy.  You always worry that the boss will somehow get even with you for doing so.  Then without TMPA legal you have the cost restrictions.  The city will just run you out of money that you did not have in the first place. The idea of right gets lost in all the side issues and officers just decide to take it and live with it.  I cannot express my thanks to TMPA and Lance Wyatt enough.  I think I have won more then the arbitration.  As younger officers have watched the events, they have seen that you can beat city hall and you don't have to sit back and take it. As police officers we have to stand up for what we believe and TMPA legal allows officers to do so.  Chris you and I started out together at Plano a few years ago and you remember how officers were afraid to sign their names to the lawsuit over briefing pay.  My message to all the younger officers in the State of Texas is to join TMPA, learn your rights, so that you just don't sit back and take it. I can tell you that after 25 years that sick feeling from taking it never goes away.

So thanks again Chris and TMPA.  To Lance Wyatt I say there is not a better person who I want representing me.
