TO: Kevin Lawrence...

I would like to thank Texas Municipal Police Association, (T.M.P.A.), for all their assistance in my lengthy case against the City of Athens. Without this association and what it stands for I would have had no chance on my own to effectively fight for my rights afforded to me and appeal the city's decision to indefinitely suspend me. It has been a long road but I made it through this trial and tribulation of my life. I will never say I am a perfect person but with GOD's help will always strive to be a better person from this experience. GOD heard my prayers!

I would like to pass this onto everyone out there in Law Enforcement today that without T.M.P.A. my future in my carrier choice would now be non-existent. I am a prime example of what this association can do for the Law Enforcement Officer in today's world. Your dues paid for these services are not in vain and are NEVER a waist of money or time!

When I contacted T.M.P.A I was placed in contact with the firm Lyon, Gorsky, Haring & Gilbert, L.L.P. Bob Gorsky assigned my case to a very talented attorney, Chris Livingston. I'm glad Chris is on our side ensuring Law Enforcement Officers rights are protected and observed at all times. This firm is extremely knowledgeable in this field and I have personally observed them help another officer in my own department early on in my career. Chris stayed in contact with me and didn't leave anything to chance. If it did or didn't look good he told me. He however did show me why he thought we would win and was right 100%. The Arbitrator saw our point and in his words "The Motion to Dismiss is granted. The Appeal is sustained. The Appellant is awarded reinstatement with back pay."

Great Job Chris!!! (its been a long 7 months)

I will never be able to word my gratitude in such a way to show my true relief and excitement in my win.

But to everyone at T.M.P.A. THANK YOU!!

Thanks........
