(G.M.) Buddy Rector
Buddy began his Law Enforcement career there with the Lockhart Police Department in 1972. That same year he graduated from Southwest Texas State University. In 1976 he moved to East Texas serving with the Kirbyville PD and Jasper County SO. In 1978 he joined the Jasper Police Department where he retired as Captain in 2008. He has taught for several academies and other agencies. He holds a Master Peace Officer Certification as well as Instructor License and Firearms Instructor. He also has a great deal of experience in multi-agency operations have participated in numerous high profile situations. Married since 1976 he and his wife have two daughters (one is a LEO) and two granddaughters. He looks forward to serving his fellow members of TMPA.
