Protecting Those Who Serve
for Over 50 Years

December 31, 2003

I have been with other organizations such as C.L.E.A.T. and I can say that none compare to TMPA. Recently, I was demoted from patrol sergeant to patrol officer because I reported a criminal violation on the behalf of my chief of police. A formal grievance was filed and I was retaliated against for it. I contacted TMPA and Kevin Lawrence got me with attorney Greg Cagle. I had already heard top notch stories about Mr. Cagle and his relentless pursuit on the behalf of wronged officers. To no surprise, Mr. Cagle responded immediately to my case and stayed in touch with me on a regular basis through the entire three-month ordeal. After it was all said and done, I was promoted back to sergeant and the city council went against the chief of police for his blatant retaliation against me. The city council voted unanimously to reinstate my rank and assure me that the retaliation that I suffered would not be tolerated in my city. Without a doubt, if I ever need legal defense, whether administrative or criminal, Mr. Cagle will be first on my list of attorneys. TMPA should be proud to have such a dedicated and competent attorney on its staff. My hat’s off to TMPA, Mr. Lawrence, and Mr. Cagle. Thank you.
