Dear Mr. Heaton:

On behalf of the Executive Director, the Commission, and the families of incumbent officers, please accept this letter as an expression of our sincere gratitude for your recent generous contribution to the Texas Peace Officer Flag Fund. As you know, the Commission was charged, in House Bill 815, to ensure that the next of kin of deceased Texas Peace Officers receive a flag and a letter from the Governor, in recognition of their service. No funding was appropriated to support this challenge, however, so the Commission must rely on the generosity of the citizens of Texas to underwrite this worthwhile endeavor.

Your contribution will help assure the success of this program. Thank you for your help.
