Waive Probate Fees for Officer’s Killed in the Line of Duty

Currently families of soldiers killed in action are not required to pay state probate fees when settling the estate.

TMPA believes the same waiver should be extended to the families of peace officers killed in the line of duty.

Thank you to State Representative Larry Taylor for filing HB 1209 and Texas Senator Glenn Hegar for filing SB 543 in an effort to extend this benefit to Texas law enforcement.
