TMPA Executive Director

Dear Sir,

On Saturday May 5, 2007, the College Station Police Officer’s Association held its first annual skeet shoot. While turnout for the skeet shoot was small, everyone who attended had an excellent time and we are already planning our next one with hopes of greater success. We definitely obtained our goal of having a relaxing afternoon with family and friends while focusing on building camaraderie throughout our agency.

I wanted to thank TMPA for their support of this event. I told Noel Johnson about the skeet shoot and he immediately said TMPA was going to be a part of it. I would like to say that I was surprised by Noel’s response, but I was not. Noel has been a huge supporter of not only the Officer’s at my department, but in particular our Association since its recent inception. The skeet shoot was advertised on the TMPA web site and he said some guys would be in attendance to cook some food.

Eddie Wilkerson and Sammy Jacobs took time out of their weekend and drove to College Station to provide us with good food and a few laughs (mostly at the expense of some poor shooting!). The majority of people who attended the skeet shoot were already TMPA members and know how valuable TMPA is to Police Officers when it comes to critical incidents. Noel, Eddie and Sammy showed those who did not already know that TMPA supports its Officers every way it can.

Please pass our thanks along to these three extremely valuable assets to TMPA and all at TMPA for their continual support. Stay safe and I will see you soon at the TMPA conference!

Sincerely,

Thomas Brown
